Review: Come Away With Me (In Seattle, #1) by Kristen Proby

The In Seattle series is one of my favorites. I love a series that follows a group of people, featuring a new couple in each installment. Series that go 3, 4, and even 5 books about the same couple are annoying to wait for and can make me lose interest by the time the next installment is released. If you're like me, you won't be able to put the books in this series down!

Review: Forever Too Far (Too Far, #3) by Abbi Glines

And it’s here! The final installment of the exciting Too Far series by Abbi Glines. I will admit, I waited a bit before I started reading Forever Too Far because I had a lot on my plate, but I’m happy I did. The story was so great and I loved seeing a happy ending for one of my favorite NA couples.

Reveiw: Lost and Found by Nicole Williams

I’m a huge fan of Nicole Williams. From her Crash series to her stand-alone to her mini-series about a seductress, I can’t stop reading what she puts out. After reading Lost and Found, my love for her storytelling only increased (if that’s possible) and Lost and Found has quickly climbed its’ way to the top of the list of favorite books from 2012.

Review: Crave (The Clann #1) by Melissa Darnell

Hello all! I am back after quite a few crazy weeks. I moved out of my old apartment, into a new one (with a two week gap in between, so I had some fun staying with relatives) and had so many crazy deadlines at work. I haven't had much time to read at all! But now I'm back with a gem that I discovered a few weeks ago. I had downloaded quite a few books at once last month, being all jazzed about my new Kindle. One of those books was something I stumbled upon on Goodreads. It’s a book called Crave, and I was very intrigued by the synopsis. I decided to give it a whirl, and I am so glad I did. Crave is one of my new favorite books.

Review: Suddenly Royal by Nicole Chase

This book hit almost all of my absolute favorite points. Small town girl finds out she’s really royalty, hot prince, moving to a new place, finding out you’re secretly rich... all it needed was a cowboy and I would have passed out from sheer happiness!

Reveiw: Never Too Far (Too Far, #2) by Abbi Glines

I’m a huge fan of Abbi Glines and I think I say that anytime I review one of her books. I began with her Sea Breeze series and quickly made my way through her other stories. The Too Far series is definitely not one to miss if you’re a fan of bad boys, strong female leads, drama and a whole lot of steamy romance.

Review: Wide Awake by Shelly Crane

I saw this book on a fellow bloggers post for the blog tour. Had it not been for the post I read, I would have never pick up Wide Awake. It just didn’t seem like my cup of tea and definitely not something I would normally pick up. I’m so happy that I did though.

Mini Reviews: The Rocker That Holds Me, Trick, Real, and Damaged

I’ve been reading a ton of quick little eBook only New Adult romances that won’t really take up a whole day’s worth of a review. So I figured I’d bundle a few of them together, let you know what they’re about and what I thought and hopefully give you a taste of what’s out there in the eBook world of New Adult Romance!

Waiting on Wednesday (22): Consume (The Clann #3) by Melissa Darnell

I downloaded Crave on a whim after seeing it on GoodReads, and couldn't get enough. I finished it in one day, and proceeded to download the sequel, Covet. True to form, I finished that one in a day. The last book in The Clann series, Consume, comes out on August 27 and I cannot wait!

Top Ten Tuesday: Best Summer Reads

Here on the east coast, it's a very rainy Tuesday. So what better TopTen to feature than our favorite summer reads. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme/feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Maybe our list of sunshine reads will bring back the sun for our last few weeks of summer!

Review: Just for Now (Sea Breeze, #4) by Abbi Glines

It’s time for another Sea Breeze book review! This deliciously steamy series is hard to put down and I’m always sad when I finish one! Now I have to wait a while for book 5 and I’m itching to hear more about Jax Stone’s younger brother Jason in the 5th installment of the series!

Review: Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3) by Cassandra Clare

I don’t really even know what to write for this review. I finished the book last night and I tried to give myself some time to process it and get a handle on how I felt before I wrote my review...here goes nothing...

Review: Rush (Breathless, #1) by Maya Banks

Let me tell you. After finishing this steamy first book in the Breathless series, I cannot wait to start book 2. If you’re looking for a romance a la FiftyShades or Bared to You, look no further. Rush is a sexy and touching ride that really will leave you breathless.

Review: Of Triton (Of Poseidon, #2) by Anna Banks

I went into Of Triton, not really knowing what to expect. I liked Of Poseidon. It was funny, and light and a great summer read. When I met Anna Banks last year, she was a hoot and a half and I seriously could picture us being best friends. She’s witty, hilarious and you just can’t wait to see what she says next. Book 2 in the Of Poseidon series was enjoyable for the summer but I’m not sure if I’m head over heels.

Review: Losing It (Losing It, #1) by Cora Carmack

I had Losing It for a long while before I finally got around to reading it. The premise sounded interesting and who doesn’t love a little hot for teacher action?

This Tuesday will be mine and Jess's first dive into the world of TopTen Tuesday, a weekly meme/feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. We decided to start off with our favorite topic: fictional book crushes...

Review: Sweet Venom (Medusa Girls, #1) by Tera Lynn Childs

It’s been a really long time since I’ve been able to get into a YA book. I mean really enjoy it to the point that I stay up until all hours of the night reading. Sweet Venom had all of the traits that I love in a YA book: a totally kick ass heroine (in this case, we get three!), tons of action, a touch of romance and the holy grail... Greek Mythology. Man do I love me some Greek Myth. This theme isn’t always done right, but Childs did a fantastic job of bringing the myth of Medusa into the 21st century.

Stacking The Shelves

This week I bought myself a Kindle Paperwhite, so naturally I had to go and buy a ridiculous amount of books to break in my new toy! I went on Goodreads and found all the suggested books for me, and I picked the ones that sounded most interesting. Some were major hits and others were misses (I'll be sending lots of review your way this week) but I'm glad I had some new reading material.

Review: Waiting For You by Shey Stahl

I saw some pretty intensely positive reviews for Waiting For You and so I decided to give it a try. It’s a coming of age tale where a dark and dangerous boy falls in love with the seemingly perfect girl next door.

Review: Beautiful Creatures (The Caster Chronicles #1) by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

I had never heard of Beautiful Creatures before the movie came out. One of my former employees told me one day about her frustration that the movie didn’t match up to the book (spoiler alert: they are TOTALLY different). I put Beautiful Creatures on my reading list shortly after hearing her talk about how much she loved the book.

Review: The Elite (The Selection, #2) by Kiera Cass

With that out of the way, I can tell you all about my utter frustration with The Elite. I read The Selection a few days ago and I couldn’t get enough. Alley had a copy of The Elite, so of course I borrowed it the day after I finished the first book and devoured it. And while I was prepared for a whirlwind of emotions, I wasn’t prepared for the disappointment of finishing the book.

After reading Because of Low and being introduced to bad boy, Cage York, I couldn't wait to get my hands on While It Lasts!

Review: Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie

Where do I start with this book? I originally discovered it while checking out books for fans of the Divergent series. I’m a big fan of post-apocalyptic/dystopian society novels. After I read the synopsis for Matched, I was hooked. I had to get my hands on it. Well luckily for me, my personal library (AKA Alley) already owned a copy that she was willing to lend me. That very night, I dove in to the book.

Happy 4th of July everyone! Wedding planning and work took up all of my time last month and while I was still reading like a crazy person, I didn't have much time for blogging. Becuase this seems to be like a regular occurance, I've decided to take on a second blogger!

I've been MIA for about a week now, mostly becuase I think I've fit about a months worth of stuff in about a week! I wanted to post an update mostly because I'm super excited, but also because I have some tours coming up and I didn't want anyone to think I was backing out!

Music of the Heart (Runaway Train, #1) by Katie Ashley

This is one of those books that I saw climbing its’ way up Amazon’s bestseller list and so I bought it on a whim. I have to say that I had pretty low expectations going in, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Review: Happenstance (A Second Chance, #1) by M.J. Abraham

I need to stop choosing books based on their cover. I’m a sucker for a good book cover and it will occasionally lead me down the path of disappointment. Happenstance was once such instance.

Waiting on Wednesday (20): Forever Too Far (Too Far, #3) by Abbi Glines

I've been reading the romance genre pretty exclusively over the last few months. I've taken dips into contemporary adult romance, new adult and contemporary YA. One of the best outcomes of me reading this genre is that I discovered Abbi Glines. I have read her books faster than I've read any one other (besides Richelle Mead) and I love her books. That being said, her final book in the Too Far series comes out in June and I cannot wait!

Review: Because of Low (Sea Breeze , #2) by Abbi Glines

And it’s time for another Abbi Glines review. Her quick, fun and flirty reads can’t be put out fast enough for me. I think I need to have a new weekly meme called Fridays with Glines for the amount of books that I have of hers to read and review.

Review: Wait for You (Wait for You, #1) by J. Lynn

When I first saw this book, it was wildly popular and I was surprised that I’d never heard of J. Lynn. After not too much digging, I found that J. Lynn is actually Jennifer L. Armentrout, the author of the Lux series. I decided I needed to give her New Adult book a try since I've read her other series as well.

Waiting on Wednesday (19): Chameleon (Supernaturals, #1) by Kelly Oram

It's that time again! Wednesday means I'm digging through all my lists of books I'm dying to read to chose just one to showcase... which is a difficult task! This weekly meme is hosted by Breaking the Spine.

Review: Unbroken (Cedar Cove, #1) by Melody Grace

I’ve had my eye on this NA book for a long time. I love the cover and the synopsis had me excited! While I will admit, I’ve been trying to read more YA books, sometimes you need some romance novel drama in your life!

Review: Tidal by Emily Snow

And it’s time for another New Adult book and this one promises the lures of the Hollywood lifestyle, rehab, Hawaii and a sexy Australian surfer boy.

Great Exploitations (Mischief in Miami, #1) by Nicole Willaimis - Mini-Review

I’m a huge fan of Nicole Williams. I really liked her Crash series and her stand alone, Up In Flames, is all kinds of steamy. When I saw she came out with a new book, I didn’t even hesitate in snatching it up and devouring it.

Avoiding Commitment (Avoiding, #1) by K.A. Linde - Review

Avoiding Commitment has been on the scene for a little while now and it’s creating a lot of buzz. I’d seen this book not only all over Amazon, but Goodreads as well. People are raving about how much they loved it.

Fallen Too Far (Too Far, #1) by Abbi Glines

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... I love Abbi Glines. In terms of reading New Adult fiction, Glines is at the top of the heap writing books that are much more well written and cohesive than most of the genre as a whole. I’ve read what she’s put out in her Sea Breeze series and the stories in the Vincent Boys books as well and I’m impressed. Fallen Too Far seemed to get even more recognition than those other two series so I thought I’d give it a try.

Poison by Bridget Zinn - Review

As I said in my earlier post, one of the reasons that I took a break from blogging was that I started feelign like reading was a chore. I also started falling out of love with the YA genre. GASP?! It’s true! I couldn’t find books that really held my interest for longer than a chapter and I’d end up opting for a smarmy NA romance to tide me over. After about 10 of said romance novels during my hiatus, I was itching to get back to the world of vampires, witches and wizards... and some epiclly well written books. As many of you know, NA romances are lacking in the writing/editing department and it began wearing on my nerves!

Walking Disaster (Beautiful, #2) by Jaime McGuire - ARC Review

I was pretty excited when I got approved for this ARC to review. I really enjoyed reading Beautiful Disaster when it came out and as a Travis Maddox lover, I couldn’t wait to get inside of his sexy, tattooed brain.

Updates: Busy Blogger is Back!

Annnnnnnnnnd that was a crazy month and a half. With weddings to attend, a job that seemed to start controlling my life and a non-existant social scene (unless you count my equally stressed boyfriend and cat) blogging had to take a back seat.

Freak of Nature (IFICS #1) by Julia Crane - Blog Stop + Giveaway

So I rarely do a blog tour for many reasons. Mostly because I don't like to be tied down to a book and made to feel like I absolutely have to read it by a certain time. One thing I really love about blogging is that I get to set my own pace and work on my own schedule. When I read about Freak of Nature, I decided to take a chance and read the book for the tour and I'm really glad I did.

Updates from a busy blogger

As you've probably noticed, I've been a little M.I.A. recently. The reason being that there is a lot going on in my personal and professional life at the moment. Of course all of the goings on are good and exciting, but super, crazy, fantastically and unimaginably busy. After some time to reflect, I've decided to officially take some time off of blogging. Not indefinitely, but a little hiatus until I can get things straightened out.

Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer - Review

I've been reading a lot of contemporary romances lately. I think that's mostly because I have been in what feels like controlled chaos at work and have had to travel and work late hours. I feel like I want to pull my hair out with stress for the past few weeks. Stressful ranting aside, it took me a long time to get through Nightshade amid my work schedule and recent addiction to romance, but I'm so happy I read it. Nightshade pulled me head first back into the world of YA fiction and I'm excited for all of the awesome books coming out this year.
