Wolf House (Potters Story) (Kiera Hudson series, 4.5) by Tim O'Rourke - Review

Wolf House is a novella written between the fourth and fifth installments of the Kiera Hudson series. With this story being told from Potter’s point of view, you can expect snarky comments, some kicking butt and of course, some lady lovin’…

Cross My Heart by Sasha Gould - Review

This is a cover for other editions of the book
I have come to realize over the years, especially after starting this blog, I tend to judge a book by its cover. Well, that might not necessarily be true, but a unique cover will definitely draw me into a book faster. So, after requesting this book because of its awesome cover, I found that I enjoyed what was inside almost as much as the cover.

After spending the past six years of her life living in a convent in her beloved city of Venice, 16-year-old Laura, is suddenly released back into her father’s care without any word or explanation. After returning home, she comes to realized the reason for her sudden return: her sister has been found dead in the canals outside her family’s villa. Laura’s father, a once rich and powerful man, now begins on a search for suitors to marry Laura to bring back his power and wealth. Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin #1) by R.L. LaFevers - Review

Grave Mercy is a simply stunning and elegant book that will grab you from page one. I was so excited for this book to come out and so when I received an early copy, I couldn't wait to get started. LaFevers has created a novel full of political intrigue, poison, treachery, and of course, a convent full of highly skilled assassins…

Ink Exchange (Wicked Lovely #2) by Melissa Marr - Review

As I just did a review for the first book, Wicked Lovely, I thought that I would write one for Ink Exchange, which is the second book in the collection and consequently my favorite!

Ink Exchange picks up a few weeks after Wicked Lovely has ended. With Aislinn’s involvement in the fey court becoming more and more involved, she has to try harder to keep her friends from becoming involved in her new faerie world. As if she and Keenan (and Seth) don’t have enough to deal with, there is a power struggle brewing within the Dark Court...

The Goddess Hunt (Goddess Test #1.5) by Aimee Carter - Review

Because this was a very short and sweet read, I’ll try and write my review in the same manor. While I don’t believe you necessarily need to read Goddess Hunt before delving into book 2 in the Goddess Test series, this quick read is fun and a great tide over while you wait for Goddess Interrupted!

Goddess Hunt begins and we find Kate traveling with James (Hermes) to Greece for a vacation during her six months off from Eden Manor… and Henry. While Kate thinks this will be a normal vacation with site seeing and tanning, she quickly finds herself in the middle of a millennia old struggle between the Gods. Pollux (Lux) has just rescued his brother Castor (Casey) from the Underworld. Now, both boys are on the run from the council of the Gods who are hell-bent on capturing them. Kate and James find the boys in the woods near Athens and Kate finds that the Gods that she has idolized may not be as good as she had once thought. She fights her way into the family struggle to help save the brotherly bond that Lux and Casey have for one another and just might damage her relationship with Henry in the process.

Vampire Breed (Kiera Hudson Series One Book 4) by Tim O'Rourke - Review

Without any introduction or adieu, I’m just going to jump into the synopsis of the fourth book in the Kiera Hudson series by Tim O’Rourke!

Vampire Breed starts off right where Vampire Hunt left off. Suddenly, Kiera finds herself trapped in a cage in a zoo like an animal. She’s tired, dirty, exhausted, and worst of all; she’s become addicted to human blood at the hands of her captors. When she begins to think that all is lost, a young werewolf comes to visit her almost every night. With Nik’s vague and somewhat confusing stories about what has happened to Kiera and her friends, it’s hard for Kiera to know if he’s someone she can trust. Slowly, her memories of the past few months of her captivity come back into focus as dreams and she slowly puts together the pieces of the story of her captivity. After finally escaping, she and her friends must work even harder to find out the hidden identity of the Vampyrus who is behind all of their suffering.

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr- Review

I read this book last year and I was absolutely in love with it. I never got through the whole series because I was distracted by other titles sitting on my shelves, but I’ve decided that I’m going to read the rest of the series very soon! Wicked Lovely is an inventive masterpiece created by Marr that transports you into the world of the fey.
