I’m a late (yikes) twenty something who has an extreme
obsession with reading and may or may not have a book hording problem. I’ve
always been the girl that has a book with me at all times because you never
know when you may have a chance to crack it open and spend a few minutes
reading. To the left is a picture of me an my reading buddy, Sherlock. His brother, Watson, is eating the pages of my book, you just can't see him. These squirrelly little nuggets are my at home reading buddies.
As a kid and young adult, I read mostly YA fiction but nowadays;
I’m much more into steamy romances. I love everything from the classic romances
our mom’s used to read like Danielle Steel and Sandra Brown to the new
favorites like E.L. James and Kristen Proby. I started this book blog about
four years ago to keep track of my YA fiction reading habit and after a few
years, I took a break from blogging. Now, I’m back in full swing reading,
reviewing, and swooning over romance novels. Thank you for stopping by and I
can’t wait to connect with all of you. Leave a comment or email me so we can
get to know each other!

Hey Biblio,
ReplyDeleteI'm an indie author who published her first e-novel this past December called The Lure of Shapinsay. It’s soon to be released as paperback. It's a unique paranormal romance dealing with the very old Scottish mythology of the selkies.
Ever since Kait Swanney could remember, the old crones of the village have been warning her to stay away from the selkies. They claim that like sirens of old, the seal men creep from the inky waters, shed their skins, and entice women to their deaths beneath the North Sea. But avoiding an encounter becomes impossible when Kait is spotted at the water’s edge, moments after the murder of a half-selkie infant.
Kait is woken unexpectedly by a beautiful selkie man seeking revenge. After she declares her innocence, the intruder darts into the night, but not before inadvertently bewitching her with an overpowering lure.
She obsesses over a reunion deep beneath the bay and risks her own life to be reunited with her selkie. But when she lands the dangerous lover, the chaos that follows leaves Kait little time to wonder—is it love setting her on fire or has she simply been lured?
I'm interested in a review only if this sounds like your cup of tea. The “Lure” easily crosses over into the YA audience and is enjoyed by my teen readers. You can see some of the existing reviews on goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13015779-the-lure-of-shapinsay

I saw your book blog from Google. My name is Roy Huff,
ReplyDeleteand I will have a self published fantasy novel called Everville
The First Pillar coming out on Amazon sometime during late February to
April. As a new unknown author, I felt it would be beneficial to have
some respected book bloggers honestly review my book since it's
unlikely I will have any traditional reviews and press. I believe my
work is high quality, and I am hoping that during the first 5 day free
promotion on Amazon that would be able to buy the book during the free period and provide an honest review. I think you would enjoy the book which I'm hoping would be enough incentive for you to leave the review once the book becomes available. If you are interested, please let me know and I'll send a reminder the day the book becomes available.
Thank-you very much for your consideration.
Thanks again,
-Roy Huff, MS, MAEd

ReplyDeleteHello, Alley!
ReplyDeleteLove your puppy. I have three big dogs. New follower, here. I have a YA fantasy series out that I am running a scholarship contest with this school year. Is there any way you could help me spread the word about the books to boost the scholarship amount and registrations? You can find information about it at pgshriver.blogspot.com, or geanpenny.com. Thanks and have a great week!
