The In Seattle series is one of my favorites. I love a series that follows a group of people, featuring a new couple in each installment. Series that go 3, 4, and even 5 books about the same couple are annoying to wait for and can make me lose interest by the time the next installment is released. If you're like me, you won't be able to put the books in this series down!

Review: Crave (The Clann #1) by Melissa Darnell
Hello all! I am back after quite a few crazy weeks. I moved out of my old apartment, into a new one (with a two week gap in between, so I had some fun staying with relatives) and had so many crazy deadlines at work. I haven't had much time to read at all! But now I'm back with a gem that I discovered a few weeks ago. I had downloaded quite a few books at once last month, being all jazzed about my new Kindle. One of those books was something I stumbled upon on Goodreads. It’s a book called Crave, and I was very intrigued by the synopsis. I decided to give it a whirl, and I am so glad I did. Crave is one of my new favorite books.

Reveiw: Never Too Far (Too Far, #2) by Abbi Glines
I’m a huge fan
of Abbi Glines and I think I say that anytime I review one of her books. I
began with her Sea Breeze series and quickly made my way through her other
stories. The Too Far series is definitely not one to miss if you’re a fan of
bad boys, strong female leads, drama and a whole lot of steamy romance.

Review: Rush (Breathless, #1) by Maya Banks
Let
me tell you. After finishing this steamy first book in the Breathless series, I
cannot wait to start book 2. If you’re looking for a romance a la FiftyShades or Bared to You, look no further. Rush is a sexy and
touching ride that really will leave you breathless.

Review: Of Triton (Of Poseidon, #2) by Anna Banks
I went into Of
Triton, not really knowing what to expect. I liked Of Poseidon. It
was funny, and light and a great summer read. When I met Anna Banks last year,
she was a hoot and a half and I seriously could picture us being best friends.
She’s witty, hilarious and you just can’t wait to see what she says next. Book
2 in the Of Poseidon series was enjoyable for the summer but I’m not
sure if I’m head over heels.

Review: Sweet Venom (Medusa Girls, #1) by Tera Lynn Childs
It’s been a
really long time since I’ve been able to get into a YA book. I mean really
enjoy it to the point that I stay up until all hours of the night reading. Sweet
Venom had all of the traits that I love in a YA book: a totally kick ass
heroine (in this case, we get three!), tons of action, a touch of romance and
the holy grail... Greek Mythology. Man do I love me some Greek Myth. This theme
isn’t always done right, but Childs did a fantastic job of bringing the myth of
Medusa into the 21st century.

Stacking The Shelves
This week I bought myself a Kindle Paperwhite, so naturally I had to go and buy a ridiculous amount of books to break in my new toy! I went on Goodreads and found all the suggested books for me, and I picked the ones that sounded most interesting. Some were major hits and others were misses (I'll be sending lots of review your way this week) but I'm glad I had some new reading material.

Review: Beautiful Creatures (The Caster Chronicles #1) by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
I had never heard of Beautiful Creatures before the movie came out. One of my former employees told me one day about her frustration that the movie didn’t match up to the book (spoiler alert: they are TOTALLY different). I put Beautiful Creatures on my reading list shortly after hearing her talk about how much she loved the book.

Review: The Elite (The Selection, #2) by Kiera Cass
With
that out of the way, I can tell you all about my utter frustration with The
Elite. I read The Selection a few days ago and I couldn’t get enough.
Alley had a copy of The Elite, so of course I borrowed it the day after
I finished the first book and devoured it. And while I was prepared for a
whirlwind of emotions, I wasn’t prepared for the disappointment of finishing
the book.

Review: Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie
Where do I start with this book? I originally discovered it while checking out books for fans of the Divergent series. I’m a big fan of post-apocalyptic/dystopian society novels. After I read the synopsis for Matched, I was hooked. I had to get my hands on it. Well luckily for me, my personal library (AKA Alley) already owned a copy that she was willing to lend me. That very night, I dove in to the book.

Waiting on Wednesday (20): Forever Too Far (Too Far, #3) by Abbi Glines
I've been reading the romance genre pretty exclusively over the last few months. I've taken dips into contemporary adult romance, new adult and contemporary YA. One of the best outcomes of me reading this genre is that I discovered Abbi Glines. I have read her books faster than I've read any one other (besides Richelle Mead) and I love her books. That being said, her final book in the Too Far series comes out in June and I cannot wait!

Fallen Too Far (Too Far, #1) by Abbi Glines
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... I love Abbi
Glines. In terms of reading New Adult fiction, Glines is at the top of the heap
writing books that are much more well written and cohesive than most of the
genre as a whole. I’ve read what she’s put out in her Sea Breeze series and the
stories in the Vincent Boys books as well and I’m impressed. Fallen Too Far seemed to get even more
recognition than those other two series so I thought I’d give it a try.

Poison by Bridget Zinn - Review
As I said in my earlier post, one of the reasons that I took a break
from blogging was that I started feelign like reading was a chore. I also
started falling out of love with the YA genre. GASP?! It’s true! I
couldn’t find books that really held my interest for longer than a chapter and
I’d end up opting for a smarmy NA romance to tide me over. After about 10 of
said romance novels during my hiatus, I was itching to get back to the world of
vampires, witches and wizards... and some epiclly well written books.
As many of you know, NA romances are lacking in the writing/editing department
and it began wearing on my nerves!

Freak of Nature (IFICS #1) by Julia Crane - Blog Stop + Giveaway
So I rarely do a blog tour for many reasons. Mostly because I don't like to be tied down to a book and made to feel like I absolutely have to read it by a certain time. One thing I really love about blogging is that I get to set my own pace and work on my own schedule. When I read about Freak of Nature, I decided to take a chance and read the book for the tour and I'm really glad I did.

Updates from a busy blogger
As you've probably noticed, I've been a little M.I.A. recently. The reason being that there is a lot going on in my personal and professional life at the moment. Of course all of the goings on are good and exciting, but super, crazy, fantastically and unimaginably busy. After some time to reflect, I've decided to officially take some time off of blogging. Not indefinitely, but a little hiatus until I can get things straightened out.

Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer - Review
I've been reading a lot of contemporary romances lately. I think that's mostly because I have been in what feels like controlled chaos at work and have had to travel and work late hours. I feel like I want to pull my hair out with stress for the past few weeks. Stressful ranting aside, it took me a long time to get through Nightshade amid my work schedule and recent addiction to romance, but I'm so happy I read it. Nightshade pulled me head first back into the world of YA fiction and I'm excited for all of the awesome books coming out this year.
